In 2018, I took part in the 100 Days Project Scotland for a second time, this time setting myself the challenge of learning vector graphics from scratch. For 100 days straight, I created a new piece of vector artwork every single day. It was a real mix of experimentation and discovery. I learned how to use digital illustration tools with confidence, explored shape, building, layering and colour theory and developed a much sharper eye for digital composition along the way. The project turned out to be an invaluable learning experience and the skills I gained have become a huge part of both my own creative practice and my teaching. The completed collection was later exhibited at the 100 Days Show at Tent Gallery in Edinburgh, which was a lovely way to see all that daily effort come together with the chance to also meet the other folks who took part.
