Image transfer is a fantastic hands on way to transfer black and white photocopies or laser prints to a variety of surfaces using a transfer gel medium. Anything that you can print or photocopy can be transferred using this method. I have used it extensively to transfer my drawings onto wood and other painted surfaces. It can even be used to transfer imagery onto prepared paper and fabrics. The uses for this technique are endless and offer a plethora of possibilities. I can produce laser cut shapes in wood to use as a base on to which participants can transfer their imagery. This technique is best offered over two to three sessions over consecutive days as the transfer medium needs time to dry before the paper can be removed to reveal the result.
