Pafiliwn Jade Jones in Flint is a leisure centre named after the town’s local hero and Olympic gold medalist, Jade Jones. I created twelve large wall panels for the centre, each one celebrating a different aspect of the town’s character and community. The imagery was generated almost entirely from photographs gathered from local people. The project was funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and contributed towards the “Off Flint” project.

The panels are displayed along the corridors on the way to the swimming pool so next time you’re in for a dip, make sure to check them out!
